Sprintkart Speedway 2012 Season!

The 2012 season is getting close with the first race set for May 4th, 2012. We will have a 2012 meeting Tuesday, March 6th, 2012 at 7 P.M. at the Davenport Airport to discuss membership and rule changes. The 2012 schedule is set.

2011 Track Champions

Congratulations to the 2011 track champions! They include: Clone Class champion and 4-time track champion Rick Phillips, Jr. Clone champion Josef Lowe, Jr. Yamaha champion Oden McDonald, and Rookie of the Year and Jr. Briggs champion Hanna McDonald.

Karting has become so popular that you should be able to find a track near you. Most of the major cities in the US have one or more tracks designed especially for racing. This is really the most important element at this stage...finding a track you're comfortable with.

2008 Sprint Kart Speedway Results

The Sprint Kart Speedway was back in action Friday night. There was no rain but plenty of great tight racing on the asphalt oval.

Carter Hagen once again took all three races in the JR I Yamaha class followed by Austin Fulton, the current point leader. Jarrett Dodds ran third and in 4th was Dalton Weedon behind the wheel of Carter's old #12.

Alec Smith took top honors in the Kid Kart Class, Brand Carter finished 2nd ahead of Ashton Wheeler and Oden McDonald.

Sportsman saw a turn of events as Quintin Fischien lost a nurf bar before taking the green flag and was black flagged. Max Nimerick picked up the win ahead of Rich Phillips.

At intermission they had bike races for the kids and we will do the same again next week, racing for hot dogs
